Weekend event

February 6 at 5:00 PM – February 8 at 5:00 PM

When the senses open, the dance appears. In water, it becomes evident.

A dance of the perceptible

From this opening, Aquachamaille unfolds as a dance of the perceptible: a dialogue between two people, where water amplifies every nuance. Without choreography, it prioritizes listening, presence, and the ability to let a movement emerge that naturally creates connection.

Shared principles, a unique sensitivity

This practice draws on principles found across several movement arts — responding to another, transforming momentum, inhabiting space with clarity — while cultivating its own way of inhabiting gesture. It invites the search for the right amount of effort, delicacy, and economy so that the dance gains meaning and precision. A field of exploration where connection becomes tangible, both in the subtle and the obvious.

Between floor and water: a continuous exploration

The explorations will alternate between floor and water: on the floor, sensations become clearer; the quality of contact, intention, and pathways of movement are refined. In the water, these same principles expand: density alters response, fluidity transforms balance, and softness invites new forms of connection.

Sensory openness as a guide

Sensory opening will guide each step: perceiving shifts in pressure, the texture of a contact, the direction of a breath, or that particular silence before a movement begins. A way of inhabiting the present with precision and availability, until the dance emerges almost on its own.
